Kilbride starts this set off with the muscular and funky "The Working Man." This is Celtic music with a more modern touch than is often heard. Musicians Denny McDermott, Mike Visceglian, and Larry Campbell, who are one of New York's premier rhythm sections, put a bracing polish and tightness into these songs. Augmented by Lucy Kaplansky's vocals and Jerry Sullivan's uilleann pipes, Pat Kilbride has produced a great allbum that showcases the wide range of his writing and interpretive talent. - Allmusic.com
