Well, this is as straightforward a song as I have ever written. It is the promise we make on our wedding day, and then over and over again to our partners – I will love you and I won’t run away. This is an easy promise to make on your wedding day in front of friends and family, but is so much harder once you leave the alter. I will love you and I won’t run away – not just physically, but I will show up and I will be there with you and we will sit through this together always. That is the harder part, I think.
