Mick Moloney is known for straddling the lines between Irish music scholar and performer, and is widely respected as both a folklorist and as a musician. A grant from the National Endowment for the Arts in the US enabled Mick to record many outstanding Irish albums and musicians, including Eugene O'Donnell, whose fine and sensitive fiddling adds so much to this recording. Since the release of this album in 1978, Mick and Eugene have been part of numerous recordings on the Green Linnet label.
