Band of Angels is a remarkably beautiful project developed by internationally acclaimed English guitarist Martin Simpson and his partner, lyrical songwriter Jessica Ruby Simpson. This album brings together some of the finest musicians in the Bay Area and uses mandolin, accordion, bass, tin whistle, percussion, and a wonderful vocal ensemble to create a sound that can be joyous or soothing, sometimes unsettling, and always exquisite.
