Promenade

Before Patrick Street was even a gleam in his eye, fiddler Kevin Burke had already set new standards for fiddle/guitar duo playing with his collaboration with Mícheál O'Domhnaill. With Promenade (as well as the companion recording Portland), they created a music that virtually defined a genre. The simple yet intricate and fluid lines woven by Burke and O’Domhnaill are akin to poetry. Recorded over thirty years ago in 1979, it remains every bit as vital today.
